Michael Jordan’s Hornets Take Strong Decision on 24-Year-Old Star After LAPD Arrests Him

Michael Jordan and the Charlotte Hornets are put in a tough position due to the ongoing issues with Miles Bridges. He was the leading point scorer for the Hornets last season. Before things went south for Bridges, the Hornets made a qualifying offer earlier this week. They were ready to match any offer made by another team to re-sign the free agent. The Hornets’ front office didn’t want to let Bridges leave the team. But things have changed recently after he was arrested by the LAPD.
After the arrest, the Hornets made a statement on Thursday saying that they are looking into the incident. And it looks like they have made a decision now. As per reports from Emiliano Carchia, the Charlotte Hornets are pulling out the qualifying offer made for Miles Bridges after the player was charged with felony domestic violence by the LAPD. This will make the forward an unrestricted free agent.

Michael Jordan and the Hornets have to find other options
Even though the Charlotte Hornets didn’t make the playoffs last year, they had a decent year. Considering the young guns will only get better, fans and the front office have great hopes for the future. Last season, LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges ran the show for their team. Bridges was often at the receiving end of flashy passes or lobs from LaMelo. And he usually finished them with authority.

In just his second year in the league, Ball averaged 20.1 points, 7.6 assists, and 6.7 rebounds per game. He led the team in assists and steals. Miles Bridges averaged 20.2 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game to lead the Hornets in scoring.
But after deciding to retract their qualifying offer for Bridges, Michael Jordan and the Hornets will need to find other options. The NBA off-season has started and is well underway after all the huge money signings. So if the Hornets don’t act fast, they might not be able to put together a good team for next season.
