Miffed at Chris Rock’s Risky Abortion Remark, Shaquille O’Neal Blurts Out His Honest Opinion

Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal has never been afraid to voice his opinions on controversial topics. Though the 4x NBA champion has a funny and easy-going persona, he often gives his two cents on things many are afraid to speak out on. And the latest episode of his podcast was nothing different as Diesel talked about various sensitive topics, including Chris Rock’s recent Netflix Special.

As the three hosts discussed multiple aspects during the podcast, Spice Adams brought up Chris Rock’s ‘Selective Outrage.’ The Netflix Special aired Live on the platform recently and has garnered a lot of attention. The 58-year-old actor and comedian didn’t have any filters and addressed various things, including the Will Smith Oscars slap. However, O’Neal felt Rock went one step too far with one of his jokes during the Special.

On the latest episode of ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq,’ O’Neal and the co-hosts talked about a variety of topics. From the Ja Morant controversy to the Lakers’ resurgence, Shaq gave his opinion on most of the current trends in the world. So obviously, it was close to impossible for them to not discuss Rock’s recent show.

Shaq mentioned that apart from comedy, Chris Rock was delivering message after message, which also included him addressing the slap he had to endure by Will Smith during last year’s Oscars.

However, there was one joke that the seven-footer did not agree with. And Shaq made sure to repeat it just to voice his disagreement. Shaq said, “The only part that concerned me is when he said, ‘you should be able to kill kids when you want to.’ When he said that, I was like, ‘damn man.’”

Nischelle Turner immediately chimed in and said, “That was terrible, I didn’t laugh at that.” To that, Shaq said, “I like comedy. Listen, I like comedy, I like hard, dark hard comedy but when he said that, I was like ‘heeey man.’”

Chris Rock did not hold back

Chris Rock’s Netflix Special received mixed reviews. While many enjoyed his dark humor, many were not on board with some of the things he said during the show.

However, the actor and comedian surely got his revenge against Will Smith, despite Smith’s public apology. Chris Rock even had an afterparty where numerous comic stars and celebrities came together to support him.

Even Los Angeles Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was in attendance to support the actor. However, the way he went off on Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, left many people speechless.
