It seems as time goes by, this off-season only keeps getting the fans out of their seats more. Major trade rumors and pair-ups are already surfacing with just the start of free agency. However, the recent news is spicier than ever, and it comes from Brooklyn. Notably, Kevin Durant has requested a trade and has his eyes set on another destination.

Stephen A Smith was harsh when KD joined the Golden State Warriors back in 2017. However, this time he feels the Slim Reaper is making the right decision. Moreover, he revealed some crazy news about Kyrie Irving.

Back in 2019, Durant and Irving made a blockbuster move to join the Brooklyn Nets and team up. With them being free agents, many teams had their hearts broken. However, the most distraught were probably New York Knicks fans. Heavy rumors came in about the duo choosing New York and them getting Zion Williamson with the number one pick.

The Nets couldn’t imagine a worse situation hitting them. They are about to lose arguably one of the best scorers in the history of the NBA. Moreover, they have no trust to give Irving a long-term deal. But there is also a chance to start fresh. KD is capable of fishing in many of the big names through a trade. The Nets have a defensive powerhouse in Ben Simmons, and a right move for KD could see them stay right where they are.
