The Chicago Bulls of the ’90s were a force to be reckoned with. The team dominated the entire decade, capturing six NBA titles in eight years. And all of them came under the leadership of none other than Michael Jordan himself. Those Bulls teams were so iconic, and with MJ on them, any memorabilia from them will undoubtedly be worth a fortune.

Horace Grant’s championship rings will be the latest piece of Bulls’ memorabilia to cross the auction block. The fact that the rings are from the Bulls’ maiden three-peat in 1991, 1992, and 1993 adds to their worth and desirability.

The rings are staggeringly stunning, with the team name or logo emblazoned on the front. While the sides carry Grant’s name, the Chicago Bulls‘ season record, championship year, and playoff record.

They are a size 12 and contain the inscription “14k Jostens” on the inside. Furthermore, the rare rings are so valuable that they might be worth more than $100k apiece. Per TMZ, each ring will also come with a letter of provenance from Grant, certifying its authenticity.

In addition to his Bulls championship rings, Grant’s 2001 Los Angeles Lakers championship ring is up for grabs as well and could fetch more than $40,000. The power forward played one season with the Lakers, where he starred alongside Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.

To be clear, those rare rings are not being auctioned off by Horace Grant himself. He apparently sold the rings for charity several years ago.

Horace Grant played a pivotal role in each of his four NBA titles

Horace Grant played in the league for 17 years and for four different teams. While his years with the Chicago Bulls and the Orlando Magic were the highlights of his career, the power forward took a back seat during his time with the Seattle Supersonics and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Grant was the ideal sidekick to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen during the Bulls’ first three-peat. Given Dennis Rodman’s exploits in the Bulls’ second three-peat, his name is sometimes overlooked as one of the best sidekicks to Jordan and Pippen. While Grant may not have been quite as charismatic as the Worm, he was certainly just as competent on the court.

During his heyday, Grant was undoubtedly a phenomenal rebounder of the ball. His career averages don’t reveal much about his prowess. The forward, however, was a walking double-double during his peak years with the Chicago Bulls.

He was also an elite defender and arguably an underappreciated on-ball defender. Shot-blocking was one expertise he consistently brought to the floor. Grant also had a reliable offensive game, with a solid mid-range stroke and a strong post-game.

Though his tenure with the Lakers was in the later stages of his career, the intensity he brought to the court night in and night out was palpable.
