NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has made a great career for himself and his family after retiring from the league. Shareef, who is O’Neal’s oldest son with ex-wife Shaunie, recently participated in the NBA Summer League. His younger brother Shaqir’s stock is on the rise and he may follow in the footsteps of his father and brother. On the other hand, Shaunie’s son from a previous relationship, Myles has been often termed as a bad influence on his step-brothers.

A few years ago, Shaqir was given $1000 by his mother to spend on clothing. Myles tagged along with Shaqir while he went sneaker shopping. However, the brothers got enamored by the sneakers in the store. After going through a few expensive shoes, Shaqir fell in love with the ‘Yeezys’.

“Those shoes are calling out to me and saying, ‘Buy me Shaqir!'”, whispered Shaqir. After learning the price of that pair, which was $1,250, Shaqir contemplated spending his entire budget on the Yeezys. Myles didn’t hesitate in saying, “Bro, I would spend the whole rack on the shoes.”

He continued, “The shoes are the most important part of the outfit“. Shaqir proceeded to purchase the sneakers and was worried about going over budget. Myles, the corrupting influence on the young Shaqir, said, “Just tell mom it was like, added tax. Those shoes are so hard!”

This wasn’t the first case of Myles having an influence on his brothers. Before Shareef was about to enter the NBA draft, he and Myles went on a house-hunt with their mother, Shaunie. The catch was that they were going to be roommates. Shaunie was worried that Myles, a party lover, might have a bad influence on NBA-bound Shareef.

While it was a cause for concern, Shaunie made sure Myles would act responsibly. Things eventually turned out well for all of them. While Shareef and Shaqir have followed in the footsteps of their father in playing professional basketball, Myles has been rubbed off by Shaq’s other side.
