Zion Williamson is a Marvel buff; this information is common knowledge in the NBA. The insane part is that his craze for Marvel costs him thousands of dollars. His favorite character from the Marvel universe is Thanos. So naturally, Zion went out of his way to get his hands on the most luxurious Infinity gauntlet. The infinity gauntlet is Thanos’ choice of weapons in the popular movie Avengers; Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War. It is reported that the replica cost him $50,000.

Pelicans fan Anthony Mackie, who is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, gave his two cents on Zion Williamson. Just like Zion is a Marvel fan, Anthony is a fan of Zion. Anthony Mackie, who plays Captain America and previously The Falcon, was amazed by Zion’s athleticism on the court.

ESPN was promoting Marvel in a special broadcast during the final Pelicans and Warriors game in the 2020-21 season. Anthony Mackie took this opportunity to share his thought on Zion Williamson. This was part of the #ArenaOfHeroes segment on ESPN2.

Mackie said that Zion is a freak of nature and he had not seen anyone like him in the NBA. He spoke about never seeing anything like him and applauded him for his ability to play the point-forward. Zion must have been over the moon with all this appreciation from Captain America himself.
