Millionaires Stephen Curry and Draymond Green Slaughtered by Fans After Unexpected Moment With Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies flattened the Golden State Warriors led by Stephen Curry and Draymond Green at the FedEx Forum. They lost the game by almost forty points. Game 5 of the playoff series was just not at all enjoyable for the Warriors. The Ja Morant less Grizzlies completely dismantled the championship contenders.

But Stephen Curry and Draymond Green did not leave the match on a sour note. They danced and enjoyed themselves along with the fans. They were moving along with the “Whoop the Trick” music along with the fans. Green, in fact, was rotating the towel over his head and moving.

This has left fans confused, dejected or angry. The Warriors did lose by almost forty points. A blowout rarely seen in the NBA playoffs.

Twitter Reaction to the Moment

NBA Twitter was making fun of the Warriors for doing this after losing by a large margin. They were mocking the two players especially Steph after what he said last game. These are some of the reactions from NBA Twitter over this moment that took place during the break:

For the Warriors, it was a loss of epic proportions for the championship contenders. The Grizzlies showed a side that they hadn’t before. The game was over much before the final buzzer was heard. Stephen Curry and Draymond Green did not perform to their best.

Green conceded five turnovers which led to important points for the Grizzlies. He also lost the rebound battle against big man Steven Adams.

Steph scored 14 points, a low for him. He also had +/- aggregate of -37 when on court. Same with Green who had -32. They both came off before the third quarter. The match was over way before the final buzzer.

It’s not that the Warriors didn’t have their shooting boots off entirely (45% FG Percentage). It’s difficult when the Grizzlies had the ball entirely to themselves. They scored 19 more field goals and 17 more free throws. Memphis had more rebounds (55-37). Grizzlies also had 37 of their 47 buckets assisted. Memphis were shooting 47% from the field and 44% beyond the 3 point line. They forced 22 turnovers compared to eight of theirs.
