The Milwaukee Bucks did the unthinkable when they lifted the NBA title in 2021. Surpassing the challenges from monsters in Brooklyn Nets and virtuosos in Phoenix Suns, they proved their mettle. As a very balanced roster, the Bucks proved that it’s the team that gets the trophy and not a star player all alone.

They say that one must never hinder the winning combination. Yet, Bucks GM Jon Horst and his front office have made some changes in their roster to make it even better. Take a look –

Incoming Players

  • Grayson Allen

The Bucks traded Sam Merrill and two future Round 2 draft picks to acquire Grayson Allen from the Grizzlies. They pulled this move in order to bring some rotational strength to their roster. Giving away Merrill (60th Pick) for a tested guard who’s averaged 8.5 points in his career sounds like a win-win. However, the Bucks have acquired him using a $4.9 million trade exception and hence he ought to deliver.

  • George Hill

As the Lakers called some of their former players back, the Bucks joined the party too. George Hill has already played 106 games for the Bucks during his two-year stint from 2018 to 2020. The veteran guard is now all set to make a comeback after playing postseason for EC table toppers in the Sixers. It will be interesting to see if his leadership and shooting prowess can again help the Bucks.

  • Rodney Hood

Rodney enjoyed a promising 2020-21 season as he averaged a career-high 50.6% from the field and a whopping 49.3% from the 3P line for the Blazers. The versatile wing player can help Pat and Khris in terms of catch-and-shoot and that can go a long way for Mike Budenholzer.

  • Semi Ojeleye
  • Georgios Kalaitzakis
  • Sandro Mamukelashvili

  • PJ Tucker

PJ Tucker was phenomenal at his defense work in the playoffs. However, he has been changing boats for the last couple of years and that’s not stopping here. Now, after lifting his first NBA title with the Bucks, the starter is moving his services to Miami.

  • Sam Merrill

The 6’4 guard’s rookie season with the Bucks was not as good as he might have imagined in terms of performance. The rookie averaged 3 points in the 30 games he played and is now headed to join the Grizzlies.

  • Bryn Forbes

Shooting guard Bryn Forbes declined his Bucks option and instead joined the Spurs this season. The man started in 10 games for Milwaukee and averaged an impressive 10 points.
