Milwaukee Bucks finally achieved the goals that they were yearning for at least the past three seasons. But their glory in 2020-21 was as much about Khris Middleton as it was about Giannis Antetokounmpo.

They proved in the postseason that their regular-season dominance over the Brooklyn Nets was not a fluke. WD-40 is much to the credit for this breathtaking success that Mike Budenholzer’s men tasted.

But how long is Khris going to stay a Buck?

Khris Middleton and his contract with Milwaukee Bucks

Khris joined the NBA in 2012 as the Detroit Pistons picked him in the second round. He played alongside star players like Andre Drummond and Tayshaun Prince, but his tenure remained very short. To seek Brandon Jennings, the Pistons prepared a trade package and sent Khris to Milwaukee.

From averaging 12.1 points in his opening year as a Buck, Middleton kept improving and averaged 20+ for the first time in 2017-18. Seeing his worth and also his camaraderie with Giannis, Jon Horst proposed a contract extension in 2019.

The new contract that Khash Money signed promised him a guaranteed $177 million for five years. In 2020-21, he earned $33,051,724 and that will increase to $40,396,552 in 2023-24.

He was signed using Bird Rights and will have a shot at exercising his player option in 2023. The star forward-guard will hit his unrestricted free agency in 2024 at the age of 33. So, it is safe to say that his next contract might decide where he is going to retire after a great career.

Recently, 4x NBA Champion and now a star analyst, Shaquille O’Neal, improved the stock price of Khris Middleton. The legendary center famously said, “Khris Middleton is Batman and Giannis Antetokounmpo is Robin”

The small forward lived up to the hype as he helped the Bucks win Game 3 with a team-high 38-point double-double. Post that, his rookie sports card saw a 46% value hike that made the owners of his PSA 10 Base Prizm Rookie Card very happy.

Additionally, with their Game 5 win, the chances are high that the prices will keep increasing.
