It was a sweet day in the office for the Memphis Grizzlies as they tied the series without their main star, Ja Morant. After a heated exchange in the game where LeBron James called him out, a 27-year-old Grizzlies star did not hold back on The King in the post-game press conference. Following the crucial home win, the Grizzlies guard’s disrespectful take on “old” LeBron James continues to go viral on social media.

Soon after receiving “Motherf****** bum” claims from The King on the court, Dillon Brooks clapped back by calling James an ‘old bear’ in the interview. However, the 6’6 guard did not stop there.

After suffering a miserable hand injury, Ja Morant could not participate in game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers. However, the Grizzlies had no problem as they defeated the Lakers 103-93 without Morant. Dropping 12 points, Dillon Brooks not only had some words for the four-time MVP in the post-game interview but also during the game.

After hitting Brooks with a tough fadeaway, LeBron James called the Grizzlies guard “a motherf***** bum”. Brooks responded as he stared back at LeBron after hitting a tough three. However, it seems like the 6’6 guard was not satisfied with just a three. Taking the trash talk to the post-game interview, Brooks went on to use some harsh words.

When asked about his altercation with LeBron, the 27-year-old mentioned, “I don’t care, he is old.” Further, he added, ” I poke bears. I don’t respect someone until he gives me 40,” as James finished the game with 28 points and 12 rebounds.

Brooks continued, “I pride myself on, you know, what I do is defense and taking on any challenge that’s on the board.” This isn’t the first time that Brooks had some controversial remarks about his opponents. He has often been involved in back-and-forths with Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors.

What will game 3 look like?

With a possible return of Ja Morant, the NBA world is in for a treat as the Lakers will get the home-court advantage against the Grizzlies. Awaiting a reply from The King himself, fans are eager for another dramatic match-up between the All-Time scoring leader and Dillon Brooks. Though James has been very efficient lately, seems like only a 40-point performance can stop Brooks from further trash talk.
