Jimmy Butler did the Boston Celtics dirty! Thanks to the Celtics forward, Grant Williams. The 24-year-old’s competitive spirits came alive late in the game, which helped the 6x All-Star to activate the playoffs mode yet again. Trailing by six points in the fourth quarter, the Miami Heat took over in the final few minutes after things got heated. Williams, after another home loss, had nothing but respect for the Heat star.

However, another Celtics guard did not seem too happy about the game. Looks like the interviewer’s question on Williams “poking the bear” wasn’t appreciated by the 2-time All-Star.

Grant Williams with “motherf*****” claim on Jimmy Butler

Butler was all over the court in the last few minutes of the fourth quarter. Williams, after a clutch three, decided to share a few words with the 33-year-old. However, the Celtics star might be regretting it now. A double-digit lead for the Celtics turned into a six-point deficit after Jimmy Butler decided to take things personally. The Celtics are now in huge trouble, however, that did not stop Williams from giving his respect to the Miami superstar.

Butler completely dominated Williams in the fourth. The Heat forward hit four buckets in five possessions when Williams was on his watch. After a tough ‘and-one’ basket, both of them locked heads. Down 6 at that moment, Butler set the plot for his revenge. Finishing the game with 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, now the Heat are up big with a 2-0 lead heading back to Miami.

Is Williams mad about playoff Jimmy’s Game 2 performance? NO. He in fact liked it. Williams, in a post-game interview, shared, “For me, I’m a competitor. I’m gonna battle. He had the best of me tonight and at the end of the day, it is out of respect, because I’m not gonna run away from it… I respect him as a motherf***** player. He is a great man”.?

What does Jaylen Brown think about his teammate’s antics?

While Grant Williams’ reply was appreciable, Jaylen Brown on the other side, stays unbothered about Butler’s performance. When asked if Williams made a mistake by “poking the bear”, the 2-time All-Star had a simple two-word reply.?

“NEXT QUESTION”. Brown did not feel like giving a reply. The Celtics are indeed not in a great position right now. The 2nd seed team has lost a total of six road games in this postseason. Losing two more will see their championship aspirations ruined once again.?
