Returning to the playoffs after a couple of years, Russell Westbrook might have a lot to prove this season. After his dramatic tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers, Westbrook has finally found momentum with the Los Angeles Clippers. Moving forward with the game 1 win against Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns, it seems like the veteran guard has got his prime confidence back. Ahead of the second road game today, Westbrook’s antics with a reporter have caught the attention of the NBA buffs.

Following his poor offensive performance in the previous game, fans did not go easy on the 9x All-Star. However, his clutch defensive stops played a huge role in the Clippers’ win. Nonetheless, fans didn’t hold back after watching the now-viral clip of Brodie.

Westbrook and Co. did not disappoint the fans in game 1 against the Phoenix Suns. Coming up clutch in the fourth quarter, the 2017 MVP gave Devin Booker and Kevin Durant a tough time on defense to bag the win. However, fans did not forget the 6’3 guard’s offensive deficiency.

Though Westbrook shot a poor 3-19 from the field, Kawhi Leonard’s 38-point performance in the absence of Paul George helped the Clippers bag a crucial road win. In a motive to play their second road game with similar confidence, Westbrook might have started to show his toughness a bit too early.

While practicing shots ahead of game 2, a reporter shared his predictions for the game, “Tonight, I expect the Suns to come out and try to set a tempo with the game”. Anyhow, the LA guard did not believe so as he replied, “Good luck” from the corner. Fans did not seem to approve of Westbrook’s overconfident reply, especially after his offensive dearth. However, on the other side, fans believe the reporter’s prediction might go wrong after Scott Foster was announced as one of the officials for the game.

Fans’ reactions to the reporter’s prediction as they roast Russell Westbrook

12x All-Star Chris Paul infamously has a losing record when Scott Foster is one of the officials of the game.
