What is the first thing one notices in NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal? You guessed it right, it is his height. The former Los Angeles Lakers star stands at an incredible 7-foot-1 inches frame that makes everyone look small.
The same can be said about Arnold Schwarzenegger. The former Mr. Olympia and the eminent actor is himself quite tall but not tall enough for Shaq.

Arnold posted a pic alongside Shaq on Instagram last year. Needless to say, the height difference between the two legends was staggering. Moreover, fans on Instagram were quick to voice their opinion regarding Shaq and his brilliant height.
One user wrote, “Arnold, you should stand on a 2-foot box next time you have a picture with him.” This comes after Arnold joked about Shaq standing on a 2-feet box whenever he is taking a pic with the bodybuilding legend.

Another comment read, “Jesus Christ Mr Schwarzenegger is 6’2″ and being completely dwarved here. I never thought I’d see something like that.” Moreover, some users joked about including comedian Kevin Hart in the pic.”Ok now where is Kevin Hart?” a user commented while another wrote, “Shaq makes everything look small, even Big Arnold.“

Interestingly enough, Arnold revealed that he caught up with Shaq when the NBA legend was present in Columbus to do a DJ show. The 4 time NBA champion is well known across the world for being an established DJ and he goes by the name, ‘DJ Diesel’.
Was Shaquille O’Neal the tallest player in the league?
While Shaquille O’Neal might be one of the tallest players ever, he was nowhere close to being the tallest player ever in the league. Romanian basketball player Gheorghe Muresan is the tallest player to ever play in the NBA.
Muresan stands at an incredible 7-foot-7 inches frame and he was much taller than Shaq. Interestingly enough, one of Shaq’s biggest rivals was also quite taller than him.
It is none other than former Houston Rockets star Yao Ming. The Chinese sensation stood at 7-foot-6 inches tall and he shared many memorable encounters with Shaq.
