Recently, it was revealed that Stephen Curry was ignored in their team group chat. Draymond Green explains what exactly happened and how he forgot to congratulate Stephen in an episode of “The Draymond Inexperienced Present” on the “The Quantity” YouTube channel.

In their conversation, Green congratulated Andrew Wiggins. Due to his first All-Star pick, which can be seen as much more impressive. It was kind of funny and intense that Green forgot to congratulate his other teammate. As Green explained: “I just didn’t say, ‘Congratulations, Steph, on being an All-Star starter, too.’ … I did that purposely, but I didn’t do that purposely in our team group chat.”

Green admitted in the YouTube video discussion that he may not congratulate Curry personally, but explained that it is indeed good humor on his part. However, what transpired in chats, he admitted that he overlooked Curry.

As Green explained the situation, he was happy for Curry, but he was most excited for Wiggins’ first selection. During the conversation, he apologized for his mistake and explained how he felt bad for overlooking Stephen.

During his explanation, Green elaborated, saying: “I hit the group chats like, ‘Wiggs, congratulations, man. That’s incredible.’ … Other guys came in, ‘Wiggs, that’s dope. Congratulations,’” Green commented.

While in the chat group, Andre Iguodala joined and sent a congratulatory message to Curry specifically. Until then, Green hadn’t congratulated Curry on his victory. It was Iguodala’s comment that led Green to realize he had forgotten to mention Curry’s win. Green reported Iguodala saying: “Hey, Steph, congratulations. Don’t let these MFs act like what you doing not elite. That shit is elite. Congratulations, Steph.’”

Afterward, Green regretted not congratulating his long-time friend and teammate. Afterward, he went back to the chat and congratulated Curry. He stated: “Wow, my fault, (No.) 30. I truly apologize, brother. Congratulations.”

In reality, Green explained that they were excited about Wiggins because this was his first selection. He explained that he apologized for not mentioning Curry’s victory in his statement. Considering Curry has already been selected for seven All-Star games, his statement makes sense. It would be no surprise if Curry was selected this time around.

Based on his performance, he is one of the best players we have on the Golden State Warriors. Averaging 26.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game, he has been an effective player this season. On the other hand, Wiggins provided a strong back to the team. His season averages are 8.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.1 assists.
