NBA superstar Stephen Curry has published a new children’s book called ‘I Have a Superpower.’ The book follows an 8-year-old named Hughes, who loves playing basketball, on a journey of self-discovery. The 4-time NBA champion gave an interview to ‘Fatherly’ about the new book. He said that the book is about believing in oneself and finding what makes one different and unique. During the interview he also talked about his childhood, upbringing, being a parent, and playing in the league, etc.

The interviewer asked whether he enjoyed any books when he was growing up which he now shares with his children. The former MVP replied that his parents read him a lot of Bible stories. And now he shares them with his children.

“My parents read a lot of Bible stories with me,” Curry told the interviewer. “That?s how I learned my faith, so those are very meaningful to me to share with my kids. But there wasn?t a specific series or book that I had lined up to share with my kids.”

He added that his kids are now grown up and they now read to him what they like.

Curry said that he tries to be open about what books his children want to read. The Golden State Warriors superstar said that they are old enough to take their lead. He added that he loves the fact that they have begun to read to him now. And said that his children are the storytellers, and he is the audience.

The Currys are a very religious family. In fact, religion played a huge part in Steph’s upbringing. Incidentally, he first met his wife Ayesha Alexander in a church. Steph’s parents, Sonya and Dell Curry played a huge part in his success on and off the court.

Dell Curry played 16 seasons in the NBA as a shooting guard like his son Stephen Curry. So Curry and his siblings saw what it is like to be in the best league in the world early in their lives. In fact, Dell Curry paved the way for both his sons to enter into the league with his guidance. However, the Curry brothers had to do their work to earn their spot in the league.
