New York Yankees legend Alex Emmanuel Rodriguez, considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time, is a part owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves are currently placed 9th in the Western Conference League table. The team was already facing a lot of challenges to make it to the playoffs, however, now they have another problem to deal with. A-Rod’s team is plagued with a mysterious illness, as multiple players have displayed signs of similar health issues during their recent matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Timberwolves played against the Lakers on Friday night. They ended up losing the game 111-123, as their players kept falling due to their poor health.

On Friday night, Anthony Edwards kept taking advantage of the few moments between plays to lie down in the tunnel. He also went to the Timberwolves locker room several times, doing anything he could to muster the strength necessary to take on the Lakers. The situation was the same with Karl-Anthony Towns as he admitted sleeping in sweat suits because he is racked with fever.
Small forward Taurean Prince is finally getting back with the team after missing two games due to illness. The undeclared illness has surrounded the team for weeks now.

What Chris Finch had to say about his team’s condition
The Timberwolves head coach, Chris Finch, said that they have been here before in this situation. With their loss to the Lakers, the team has an almost negligible margin for error left. Finch said, “No one is going to feel sorry for us. We’ve got to pick ourselves up. We’ve got four to play and we’ve got to get back on the march.” Although Mike Conley Jr was the best performer for his team in their last game, he is also reportedly suffering from the same issues.

It is still unknown if there is a root cause behind so many of the team members falling sick around the same time. It could be because of exhaustion from playing regular games in a long season. But till we get an official update on it, it is entirely speculative.
