Former Billionaire and eminent rapper Kanye West has been in the news for quite some time now. Following his issues with ex-wife Kim Kardashian and his controversies lately, people all around the world have talked about West. Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal is the latest celebrity to chime in on the debate.

Talking on The Big Podcast with Shaq, he talked about why he relates with West. Having gone through a tough divorce himself, Shaq sympathized with Kanye while calling himself a ‘narcissist’.

Shaquille O’Neal empathizes with controversial rapper Kanye West

Kanye West has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Earlier this year, he had a fallout with his wife, Kim Kardashian and he had numerous online beefs with her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

A few weeks ago, West was all over the news again when he posted some highly controversial anti-semitic opinions on social media. With the whole world discussing West and the majority bashing him, Shaquille O’Neal feels differently.

Talking on the latest episode of his podcast, he sympathized with West while relating to his situation. Moreover, he described himself as a ‘narcissist’.

Shaq said, “When I look at Kanye, I say you know what, I know what he is going through. You know why I know what he’s going through? Coz I used to be a narcissist.”

He further added, “First example, when you are a narcissist, mama takes the kids away from you. Second example, when you are a narcissist, things start to just go away.”

Shaq has been through an ugly divorce much like Kanye West. After being married for quite some time to Shaunie Nelson, the two filed for a divorce. Previously, Shaq has assumed full responsibility for his divorce. However, here he ascribes the split to his narcissistic tendencies. And Shaq further believes that Kanye is suffering for the same reason too.

Shaq gave it back to West on social media recently

Following his huge controversy, Kanye West tagged Shaquille O’Neal on Twitter while talking about Shaq being in business with Jamie Salter.

Interestingly enough, O’Neal replied with West’s own lyrics, “Worry about your business, and to quote the once great Kanye west [sic] ‘I got more money than you, so why would i listen to you”, said O’Neal. Just Shaq being Shaq!
