The 2020 offseason marked the arrival of veteran point guard Chris Paul to join forces with Devin Booker in Phoenix. Since his arrival, the Suns have become a different beast. CP3 has even elevated the game of Devin Booker to another level.

But all this success could be short-lived. For starters, CP3 is 36-years-old, so even if he stays with the Suns, it won’t be long before he retires. Additionally, this is the best chance that the organization has to win it all.

If the Suns perform underwhelmingly in the playoffs, Devin Booker could force a trade out. Although this is all but speculation right now; no one would blame Booker if he decides to take this decision.

Jay explained:

“The name that Windy [Brian Windhorst] was talking about is Devin Booker. He’s talking about Devin Booker. When we you look at the ties that exist within the Knicks organization, you have a guy like Leon Rose, who’s running the team. Devin Booker was one of his top clients, obviously when he was an agent represented him.

“… He came through the routes of Kentucky basketball. Worldwide Wes is with the Knicks. Kenny Payne… he’s now an assistant coach with the Knicks. All these things kind of work together. They have all the relationships, that’s the piece that Windy was talking about.”

While Jay Williams has made some excellent points, this is all but speculation right now. Booker is yet to say a word about his future with the team and until then, it’s hard to predict the future of the two-time NBA All-Star.
