The trade that sent Russell Westbrook to the Lakers last summer sparked many discussions about him. Fans questioned the organization, but the Lakers seemed fairly confident about their selection with Westbrook. As LeBron James is under pressure to cover the needs of the players because of NBA health and protocols, Russell Westbrook was assigned to ease some of the strain so he could take some time off the court.
Originally, Westbrook was selected to lead the Lakers to another championship, but now that the season has started, many people are still wondering if he has given anything to the Lakers. Shannon Sharpe talked about the Westbrook game on Fox Sports’ morning show Undisputed: Skip and Shannon in which he mentioned Westbrook’s current stats from his performance for the Lakers.

Unc @ShannonSharpe compared Russell Westbrook to the pretty girl at the rivals school 😭😭😭😭
“Russ is like that pretty girl @ rival school that makes you say if she was my girl, I’ll treat her like a queen and then when you get her, you realize why all the dudes left her” pic.twitter.com/1SoLRfrFAw

Shannon Sharpe has discussed Westbrook’s performance during an interview, mentioning:
“Only one team that we think are contending team, only one wanted Russell Westbrook, the Lakers. Let that sink in. This is not a fringe player. This is an All NBA 75th anniversary team member and only one team wanted him, that should tell you.”

Using an analogy, he summarizes and explains Westbrook’s current situation in the NBA by stating that:
“Russ is like that pretty girl at rival school that makes you say if she was my girl, I’ll treat her like a queen, and then when you get her, you realize why all the dudes left her.”
It still seems that Westbrook is under considerable pressure because of his poor performance for the Lakers. During the game, Westbrook did not record many attempts.
