The Golden State Warriors have had enough and all they want now is a winning culture in their franchise. And what better way than to bring in a fresh young rising star that can join forces with its superstars. With the seventh and fourteenth selections in this year’s Draft, there are many prospects that could fit with their roster. But if it were up to rookie Corey Kispert, the Warriors would be the perfect landing spot for him.

How any team goes through the NBA Draft, speaks volumes about where their future is headed. The Dubs are no different. And it is no shocker that the Warriors are planning to use both their picks.

With Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins, they won’t be looking for someone who can share the offensive load. But someone who can shoot, defend, and with high basketball IQ. Since the Warriors are looking for a win-now rookie, many prospects spring to mind. Chris Duarte, Davion Mitchell, Trey Murphy III, and finally Corey Kispert.
Even though Kispert is expected to be going way before the 14th pick, there is a chance he will fall with the Dubs. “It’d be a really seamless fit with them,” Kispert said. “I love their style of play, the way they move the ball, play unselfishly.”
“I get really excited thinking about learning from guys like Klay and Steph. I know they want to win right away, build back to where they were a couple years ago. But I do feel like I could be a piece of that.”

What does he bring to the table?
Shooting from the deep is a trend of the league these days, and that’s what teams seek as well. But the Warriors need to look no further for that because Corey is the best in his draft class when it comes to that skill.

Also, his marksmanship is unreal and unlike most markmen, Kispert’s IQ helps him avoid being a target on the defensive end. With only one shooter, Justinian Jessup who is in the waiting room right now, the Dubs will look to add another. Now, this could be via the draft, free agency, or trade. However, don’t be surprised if they go stay in the draft race for Corey Kispert.
