A rising star in the NBA, Trae Young might have just announced his plans for marriage. The Atlanta Hawks member is one of the key players at his franchise. Young is currently enjoying his fourth season in the NBA. The Hawks player took to social media to make a special personal announcement.

Trae Young took to Instagram to announce his engagement to his long-time girlfriend. An Instagram post by Young showed him kneeling on the floor to propose to his girlfriend, Shelby Miller. Young captioned the post saying, “What a night“, and accompanied it with the hashtag of “#FutureMrsYoung“.

Young remained the subject of discussion in the media and also in the NBA world. The who’s who of the NBA world congratulated Young in the comments section of his post. NBA players like Russell Westbrook, Buddy Hield, Donovan Mitchell, De’Aaron Fox, and others were among the ones to congratulate their colleague.

The Hawks star spent his college career playing for the University of Oklahoma’s team, the ‘Oklahoma Sooners’. Many NBA analyst websites regarded Young to be one of the finest players in the 2017 recruiting class. Young declared for the 2018 NBA draft, in a decision that effectively waived his last three seasons of collegiate eligibility.

As a highly hyped prospect in the 2018 NBA draft, the Dallas Mavericks selected him with the fifth overall pick. However, they traded him to the Atlanta Hawks. In just his third game for the Hawks, Young scored a season-high 35 points and 11 assists to guide them to a 133–111 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Trae Young and his relationship with his girlfriend

Trae Young plays as a point guard and dons the Atlanta Hawks jersey in the NBA. The 23-year old met his long-time girlfriend, Shelby Miller, when he attended and played for the University of Oklahoma. Miller is quite active on Instagram and has posted many photos with Young on the social media platform.

Miller’s first Instagram post that featured Young was posted in October 2017. She was a cheerleader at her college while she studied at the University of Oklahoma. Miller is older than Young by three years, having been born in 1995 while Young was born in 1998. In their pastime, the budding young NBA star and his fiance share dance videos on TikTok.
