The Golden State Warriors were barely out of the slump as they went up against the Indiana Pacers. With no Klay Thompson or Andrew Wiggins, the scoring load fell upon none other than Stephen Curry. And for the most part, Curry did what he does best, score a bunch of points for the team. However, an injury to the Warriors superstar in the third quarter forced him to head to the locker room, from which he did not come back onto the court.

This is undoubtedly horrifying news for Warriors fans. Stephen Curry is the team’s leader in scoring and assists this season. Plus he can arguably be considered the spark plug that gets the rest of the squad fired up.

The Golden State Warriors are in no position to lose their leading scorer. Currently, with a 14-15 record so far this season, the Warriors are in the 10th position in the Western Conference. Curry has led the team in points and assists with 30.0 PPG and 6.8 APG per game.

Now, the interesting thing to look out for will be, who will step up for the Warriors squad in Curry’s absence. Klay Thompson has shown signs of having big games so this just might be an opportunity for him to step up.
