The Los Angeles Lakers can’t seem to get any grip in this season whatsoever. After a loss against the Spurs, they returned to action with LeBron James. However, even his triple-double did not prove enough for the Lake show to defeat the Houston Rockets. In a surprise loss, Houston’s rookie Jalen Green came through. And fans did not hold back.

Only days after LeBron scored a historic 56 points, the Lakers went back to their old ways. Suffering their second loss in a row, the Lake show lost to a bottom seeded Houston team. Despite both James and Brodie showing out, the purple and gold couldn’t hold on in an overtime classic.

Likewise, fans went right after the Lakers and trolled them through Twitter.

LeBron James’ triple-double not enough

Going into yet another overtime thriller this season, the Lakers took a surprise loss. Things keep getting worse for them as even a great offensive display went in vain. Despite a great show by Russ and LeBron, the Rockets came through in overtime thanks to their rookie. Green put up yet another impressive show against the purple and gold to take the Rockets past the finish line.

Going into the overtime period, Jalen Green started hot as fish grease. He scored the opening 7 points and set the tone for Houston. From there on out, a barrage of threes took the game away.

Days after scoring 56 points, James seemed to lose his shooting touch. The King had a poor night from the field, shooting just 34%. However, he amassed a triple-double with 23 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists. Russell Westbrook followed his poor showing with an outstanding 30 point night. After going cold for a few games, Malik Monk also bounced back with 20 points. However, their poor defense gave the Rockets youngsters a golden chance, and they went off.

Jalen Green contributed with 32 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists while shooting an efficient 61%. His performance in overtime proved to be the driving force for the Rockets. Former Laker, Dennis Schroder chopped in with 12 points and 6 assists. Sengun and Josh Christopher combined for 42 points as the Rockets beat the Lakers 139-130.
