The New York Knicks is one of the biggest franchises in the NBA. Not only do they have championships under them, but their popularity is also high. Why LeBron James won’t be a Knick
In Oakley’s book, ‘The Last Enforcer: Outrageous Stories from the Life and Times of One of the NBA’s Fiercest Competitors’ , he spoke about the incident that keeps LeBron away from the Knicks. And the reason is the majority governor of the Knicks, James Dolan. It all happened due to an incident during the 2014 All-Star weekend when Oak tried to clear the air between him and Dolan. However, Dolan refused to shake hands with Oak.
Oakley is a Knicks legend and spent 10 seasons with the organization. Prior to the incident, he had been critical of the Knicks and also felt like he didn’t get fair treatment for being a long-time Knicks player. But he was ready to put everything past him and get to good terms. However, the ignorance of Dolan only made him more furious.
