“NBA Playoffs Clear”: NBA Community Gets Hot-Headed as Soccer’s UEFA Champions League Declared ‘Best Competition Ever’

The NBA playoffs are going into the second round, with its first-round almost over for every game. It is in full flow and with playoffs taking the center stage, UCL has entered its semi-final stage. 

The UEFA Champions League is the ultimate European competition and the trophy that probably holds the most importance in soccer after the World Cup itself. Although any trophy is difficult to win at that level, regardless of the sport or competition, the UEFA Champions League is one of the toughest. The best teams in Europe, teams that finish in top spots in their leagues, compete for the ultimate prize. While the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Semi-final had an outstanding match, the NBA playoffs have also produced moments to remember.

It was an epic night in Etihad, Manchester. The Champions of England of last season Manchester City won against the potential Champions of Spain of this season, Real Madrid. However, NBA fans were obviously not convinced that the UEFA Champions League is the best spectacle in sports.

NBA fans were in disagreement with a tweet from B/R Football. The fans claimed the NBA playoffs to be the best sports spectacle there is in the world.

That is what sports do to you. Soccer is the most watched sport in the world, but NBA playoffs still have a certain level of excitement. In the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg, Manchester City hosted Real Madrid in an epic clash which ended 4-3 in favor of the home side. They have everything to play for in Spain in the second leg. The second semi-final is between Liverpool and Villareal.

On the other hand, the NBA playoffs have spiced up. The Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat are the only teams that have already qualified for the next round while all the other teams are still in contention. The Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Memphis Grizzlies lead their first round series by 3-2 against New Orleans Pelicans, Utah Jazz, Toronto Raptors, and Minnesota Timberwolves respectively. The Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks lead their game series by 3-1 against the Denver Nuggets and Chicago Bulls respectively. As we are about to enter the Conference Semi Finals, the NBA is getting even more exciting.
