The families of NBA stars seldom take center stage amid all the action in the league. However, some members of the family do find themselves under the spotlight on some occasions for speaking their mind. Likewise, Al Horford’s sister, Anna Horford, has emerged as a distinctive figure in the NBA world over the years for her strong opinions. Apart from being the 5x All-Star’s sister, her claim to notoriety comes on the back of her polarizing opinions on social media. In the past, Anna has not hesitated to roast superstars like LeBron James and other big names in the league. Similarly, another superstar has seemingly fallen victim to her sharp remarks recently.

Amid the recent matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers, Anna took to her social media and engaged in an online beef with Philly fans. Fast forward to today, after the unfortunate loss against the Celtics, Joel Embiid and the 76ers are the latest victims to Horford’s pointed digs.

A few days ago, two of the Eastern Conference powerhouses, the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers, faced off against each other. Unsurprisingly, Anna Horford extended her support to her brother’s Celtics. Interestingly, Al Horford and the 76ers share a storied relationship. The 5x All-Star, before reuniting with the Celtics, briefly played alongside Joel Embiid with the 76ers for a season. But due to several complications and an underwhelming performance from Horford, the 76ers traded him to the Oklahoma City Thunder shortly after.

Consequently, cognizant of her brother’s history with the 76ers, Anna started taking shots at them ahead of the game. Moreover, she also engaged in heated exchanges with 76ers fans on Twitter.

Unfortunately, the 76ers lost to a shorthanded Celtics on the fated day and Anna’s onslaught erupted soon after. On her polarizing Twitter handle, she started ripping Embiid and the 76ers to shreds. Moreover, she was more than glad to clap back at the diehard Philly fans.

Anna Horford’s strong opinions riled up abusive fans

In the past, she has taken shots at some of the league’s stars and marquee franchises. Some of her notable targets include LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Blake Griffin, and the Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors. But most of her beefs have remained under the confines of the NBA world.

However, recently, she came under major trouble after sharing her opinion on LeBron James’ call against the Celtics a few weeks back. After slandering the King’s reaction as ‘acting’ and unapologetically supporting her Celtics, she received major flak from fans, which at times crossed the line. In fact, some fans also issued death threats to her and her family. However, she is not new to such mistreatment, as 76ers fans have also attacked her with abusive language in the past for her opinions.
