The Philadelphia 76ers currently hold the best record in the Eastern Conference. Their star duo of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are getting the job done for the franchise. However, considering the immense competition in the league, they might need to add another piece to their roster.

In fact, the team was one of the front runners to land now-Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden. The deal broke down, but with Harden joining the Nets, it gave birth to a super team in Brooklyn.

So are there any players for the conference leaders who can further bolster their roster prior to the trade deadline? Well, yes, there is one ray of hope for the 76ers.

The trade market still needs to take shape in the coming weeks, so realistic targets are unclear.

Since winning the NBA Championship in 2019, the Raptors are on a steady decline. Last season, they were eliminated in the second round by the Boston Celtics. Additionally, they had a poor start to the season, but have gradually stabilized themselves as the season continued.
