The Philadelphia 76ers solidified their position taking a 2 Game lead against the Raptors. Joel Embiid was the star of the night. He put up yet another MVP-like performance on the biggest stage. However, fans were not happy after the game. Living up to their reputation, the Sixers yet again were heavy with their free throws. Fans took to Twitter to go after Philly.

Embiid and Harden have grown well as a duo. But their offense hasn’t been the most pretty. They are the two top free-throw shooters in the league. Likewise, they have received a lot of slander for this style. And the end of the regular season has not changed anything.

76ers continue their free throw dominance

The 76ers were successfully able to back up their performance in game 1. As the fourth seed, they easily took care of the Canadians. However, it wasn’t a pretty way to kill a team. They went to the free-throw line 30 times in Game 2 which left fans really annoyed. However, for Philly, they see themselves in a 2 game lead and take on the road in hopes to repeat their success.

The Philly way of winning isn’t sitting well with the fans. They sent a clear message of not liking to watch the Sixers’ free-throw dominant game every single night.

Joel Embiid was the star of the night like usual. The MVP favorite posted a game-high 31 points and 11 rebounds to dismiss the Raptors. He caused major havoc and went to the free-throw line 14 times.

Following his stellar playoff debut, Maxey put up 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists as well. Harden continued his low efficient run, scoring just 14 points while shooting 33% on 9 shots. Tobias Harris came in big with a 20-point night.

For the Raptors, an early game exit for Gary Trent Jr. only added to their troubles. Fred VanVleet tried his best putting on 20 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Spicy P kept his streak of good games against the Sixers alive. He also scored 20 points to go with 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The absence of Scottie Barnes really hit Toronto as they couldn’t find a defensive grip on the Sixers.
