The James Harden trade had the entire NBA in shock. Once again the Beard forced himself out of the equation when things didn’t go in his favor. To the normal eye, it felt like a betrayal to Kyrie and Kevin Durant. However, in a recent interview, the Slim Reaper took a shot at his former teammate while speaking about the trade.

The Brooklyn Nets were on the top of their game with Harden and Durant in action. With Kyrie’s part-time role, Harden couldn’t rely at all on him. But things got worse when Durant picked up an injury that kept him out. At this time, the Beard was left alone. Likewise, the Nets struggled without their best player and their position severely dropped.

Kevin Durant not over James Harden betrayal?

With the trade coming in so close to the All-Star game, Durant was left in a tricky spot. Notably, he even kept Harden off his All-Star team. Since then, he has tried to focus on the new group that came in. But, he can’t go long without speaking about the surprise trade. However, this time he took a slight dig and said there isn’t much that could be done to keep Harden in Brooklyn, pointing out how his former teammate is chasing a ring.

He said: “You can try to look at it from his perspective: Kai’s not playing, and I’m injured. He hasn’t won a championship before.”

Kevin Durant and the Nets have felt the worst end of the Harden trade. Firstly, Ben Simmons is yet to suit up because of his back injury. In addition, despite New York lifting the mandate, Irving isn’t eligible to play full time. Hence, the look of their ‘Big 3’ is still unknown. Durant has done his best by averaging 27 points since his return. But the Nets are struggling, winning just four of their last 10.

On the other hand, James Harden has been at his best with Embiid. Averaging 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 12 assists, he and Embiid have become one of the best duos in the league. With the Sixers being the A-side, the battle against Brooklyn will be a spectacle for the fans.
