In the playoff rematch, the Boston Celtics beat the Brooklyn Nets at the buzzer. With Kyrie Irving facing off against his former team, fans were not kind to KAI. They were going right at KAI throughout the night. While KAI had a great game, he gave back to fans in more than one way. Irving had enough of the slander as she flashed the middle finger at the Garden fans. However, fans did not stop there as they took to Twitter.

Before his tenure with the Nets, Irving was on the Celtics. His time was headlined with Kyrie failing to make a deep run in the playoffs. Moreover, his leadership also came to question as he was unable to utilize the young talent of Tatum and Brown. After promising to stay, Irving made his way out of Boston.

Hence, he isn’t the star in front of Celtics fans. Likewise, they made his time at the TD Garden rough.

Kyrie Irving gives back to Celtics fans

Heckling and chants were not new for Kyrie Irving in their playoff battle against the Celtics. The hate and atmosphere was intense and it seems KAI had enough. After a fan continued the onslaught, Irving flashed both his middle finger behind his head to silence the crowd.

However, his attempts only further fired up the fans. They continued their attack on Twitter.

Looking at his actions last season, the fans’ hate was only increased. After the win at TD Garden, Irving stomped on the Celtics logo which left an unpleasant taste in many fans’ mouths. While KAI showed out against them, there is no doubt that fans are going to continue with their attacks. Given his history, Irving has done well to deal with the hate.
