Harden’s arrival in Philadelphia has seemed to bring around all the good things. His time with the franchise started with a 5-0 winning streak, the guard immediately slotting in next to Joel Embiid. Furthermore, James Harden has continued to prove himself with an insane record break of his own.

James Harden ties insane record with Reggie Miller; fans react

Harden’s very first quarter against the Bulls secured the record. The 32-year-old shot an impressive step-back three with around one minute left in the first period, which marked his 2560th three-pointer made. That is just as many as Reggie Miller but in 463 fewer games. Now, Harden needs only one three-pointer to pass Miller, which might as well be during their next game.

Many fans congratulated Harden and gave him a shout-out on Twitter, hoping for more users to talk about it.

Some focus, however, was on Harden playing against the Brooklyn Nets for his sixth game with the Sixers. While the 76ers will be playing at home, Harden will have the opportunity to pass Miller against his former team.

The 2018 MVP was also compared to 76ers legend Allen Iverson. Many believe that while Iverson is considered the best 76ers star, Harden’s game with the team can earn him a similar spot. If he spends the remainder of his years in Philadelphia, Embiid and Harden will easily make a name for themselves as an iconic duo.

Did Harden surpass Miller with ease?

Another small observation made was how the game has changed from when Miller actually played. Harden has completed the same feat Miller did in less number of games. This is possible because Harden attempted over 7000 threes in 925 games, much more than Miller attempting 6486 in 1389 games.

That being said, Harden should easily pass Miller on the list. Currently, the 76ers are placed second on the Eastern Conference points table (40-24 win-loss). While a championship win is impossible to predict, one can certainly hope for a deep playoff run with Harden involved.
