After their failure this season, the Lakers will look to focus ahead. One of the major talking points will be Russell Westbrook. After his poor season, the purple and gold could look for possible replacements. However, they aren’t accepting any offers just yet. Notably, fans were left confused as reports of them denying a Hornets trade came to the surface.

Coming off averaging a triple-double with the Wizards, Brodie had high expectations. However, it all came crashing down as the Lakers crumbled. Winning under 35 games, the 17-time champions missed the postseason. With 3 of the elites all in one uniform, it was a major upset.

Hence, after watching the events unfold, the Lake show may look for a change. And an attractive offer has emerged in Charlotte.

But the Lakers don’t seem sold on the trade. This left their fans confused as they want Russ out no matter what.

Lakers looking to keep Russ?

Recently, reports ran wild of Michael Jordan wanting Westbrook in Charlotte. With the trade very much possible, the Hornets are willing to put up former All-Star Gordon Hayward. But with the way injuries ran through the Lakers this season, they don’t want to take any more chances. Hence, the purple and gold may sound off this trade.

While they are thinking in the right direction, the fans were in disagreement. They took to Twitter to speak about this trade being fair as they would take anything for Brodie.
