The recent commercial for the upcoming God of War Ragnorak game saw the coming together of Hollywood and basketball royalty. That’s not just it either. Fans can see each of them with their respective children, inspired by the roles played by the game’s characters Kratos and Atreus. Hollywood legends Ben Stiller and John Travolta feature alongside LeBron James.

The PlayStation ad just got better and funnier with each passing minute. ‘Night of the Museum’ and ‘Zoolander’ actor, Ben Stiller was in full Kratos makeup and dress. Ben Stiller led an apparent group session with his son, Quin. Travolta was seen with his daughter, Ella, and James with Bronny.

The scripting of the ad was in alignment with the plot of the game. Kratos has been put in a compromising spot. He has to make tough decisions regarding Atreus with an impending war that threatens Asgard and its people.

It was hilarious when Stiller asked James what was bothering him behind his invisible headband. James replied, “Bronny said he’d rather play against me than with me.” He made a gun gesture to his heart and said it was a “shot in the heart”. Bronny questioned his dad sarcastically. Ben Stiller held on to that and declared that was the “LeBreakthrough“. Travolta was seemingly enlightened.

Stiller admitted that it was great to be on set with “iconic figures” like LeBron James and John Travolta. He said that both of them were humorous. The Los Angeles Lakers great agreed and told that he hadn’t laughed that much on a set before. Travolta included the children and said that they were hysterical on set as well.

God of War Ragnorak is set to release on the 9th of November for PS4 and PS5. The commercial that got aired at the beginning of the month has undoubtedly succeeded in arresting eyeballs. But more than anything, it left everyone in splits.
