The Los Angeles Lakers lost their fifth consecutive game of the season and fans seem to be running out of patience. While the first two games merely seemed like the Lakers were having a ‘bad day’, their game against the Portland Trail Blazers was what caused the NBA world to talk about trades. LeBron James and co. faced the Blazers on October 23 at the Crypto.com Arena. While fans were waiting in anticipation to watch the Lakers win their first game of the season, they instead had to watch their Lakers star’s poor performances on the court.

The Lakers were leading the game by 102-101 giving fans hope. However, in the last 20 seconds of the game, Russell Westbrook turned fans’ hopes into disappointment with one poor decision. With only a few seconds remaining, Russ decided to make a jump shot and failed in spectacular fashion, causing the Lakers to end up losing a winning game.

Their losing streak continued when they faced the Denver Nuggets next. While Westbrook sat the game out, Anthony Davis and LeBron James only managed to make a combined score of 41 points as they lost by 99-110.

NBA world demands LeBron James’ Lakers be rebuilt

The Los Angeles Lakers faced the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 28, 2022, at the Target Center. While the Timberwolves rejoiced in their victory, the game proved to be a huge let-down for Lakers fans. The Timberwolves defeated the Lakers by 111-102. LeBron James did fairly well and scored 28 points, 5 assists, and 7 rebounds. Whereas, Russell Westbrook, who played as a reserve, scored 18 points, 3 assists, and 8 rebounds. Additionally, teammates Austin Reaves and Troy Brown assisted by adding 12 points each.

On the other hand, the Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards scored 29 points, with 2 assists and 4 rebounds. Behind him was Rudy Gobert, who scored 22 points, 2 assists, and an impressive 21 rebounds. Timberwolves forward?Karl-Anthony Towns scored an additional 21 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds.

Fans have been asking the franchise to make some trades after the Lakers’ disappointing game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Furthermore, some even suggested a complete rebuilding of the roster. NBA fans let their opinions be known after the Lakers’ latest defeat.
