Shortly after Irving’s trade, it was announced that NBA superstar Kevin Durant would be making his way to the Phoenix Suns as part of a four-team trade deal. Since then, the Nets have been mostly carried by Cam Thomas and Mikal Bridges despite Ben Simmons‘ presence. Due to several reasons established by Twitterati, Simmons has not been the fan favorite lately.? Ben Simmons set to miss a few games

Shortly before the Brooklyn Nets vs Chicago Bulls tipoff, Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn informed that Ben Simmons will be out for the team’s next two games due to knee soreness. However, as per reports by the New York Post, Simmons might have to sit out more than just two games. The LSU alumnus missed his 17th game of the season on Friday night and will be sidelined for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks. The 2016 No. 1 overall pick is currently averaging 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists.

The Nets’ 131-87 loss against the Bulls turned out to be a huge disappointment for fans given the vast difference in both teams’ scores. In Simmons’ absence, Cam Thomas led the team by 22 points and two assists. Star guard Mikal Bridges added 13 points, six rebounds, and two assists.
