No NBA game is without a little drama, often ranging from anything between fun moments to narrowly escaped injuries. Sometimes, it’s LeBron James crashing into courtside while trying to save a ball. Thankfully, David Harbour?who was right in the line of fire?escaped without any serious injury.
The Los Angeles Lakers played against the New Orleans Pelicans in their last game, welcoming Anthony Davis back on the court. James himself had been sidelined for two games due to his sprained ankle.

The highlight of the game, however, was King James nearly diving into a sea of people to save their ball.

During the third quarter of the game, Herb Jones ended up blocking James‘ shot. While trying to get back the ball, James ended up losing his balance and toppled onto people watching. Actor David Harbour was directly in front of James, getting hit as James fell. Thankfully, no lasting injury occurred to either James or Harbour.

That being said, the Lakers ended up losing 114-111 to the Pelicans. While fans joked about Harbour’s incident, they did point out yet another Lakers loss. This also makes it a five-game losing streak for the Lakers, who are currently placed 11th in the Western Conference. If their losing streak continues, they won’t be able to clinch a play-in tournament spot either.
Will LeBron miss the playoffs?
If the Lakers are indeed eliminated, this will be the fourth NBA playoffs James will miss.

James scored 38 points against the Pelicans but was unable to push his team towards victory. Davis, back after 18 games, scored 23 points and 12 rebounds. “The big picture is that it was pretty much a must-win for us, and we didn?t get the job done,” James admitted after the game.

Coach Frank Vogel has also accepted that it will be a tough road for the team, which is currently struggling. With a few games left, the Lakers will have to gain momentum and win consistently for a chance in the playoffs. “We have plenty of time to win as many games as we can down the stretch and see what happens with San Antonio,” Vogel added, deciding to look forward and try to win.
