New York Fans Are Fuming After Thunder Rookie Torches Madison Square Garden With an Impressive Game

Josh Giddey, the 19-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder star, has been going crazy on the court of late; Especially, his game against the New York Knicks last Monday night. During the game, he recorded a triple-double with 28 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds. The result was an 11-point deficit in the second half. Notably, the Thunder won by a score of 127-123 in overtime, with not just Giddey contributing, but other players as well.

While covering the game, New York’s Immanuel Quickley had the opportunity to shift the game into overtime. The Knicks would have gotten more time to score if that had been the case. In front of the Thunder bench, he missed a 3-pointer.

Fans have gone wild on Twitter with the score of Giddey, as some said, “Owned The Poverty Franchise Knicks,” and lauded his efforts. He has been a tremendous player for the team, as we can see from his performance. At such a young age, he is among the top fresher players in the NBA. In addition, it hasn’t been long since he joined the NBA. As the Thunder selected him with the sixth overall pick in their NBA draft for 2021.

In addition to Thunder’s performance, the Knicks put on a great performance as well. With a triple-double of 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, Julius Randle contributed greatly to the Knicks’ scoring mark. For the Knicks, the season hasn’t gone so well as compared with other teams. In their last 11 games, they lost nine times.

Regarding the Thunders, they are currently ranked 14th in the Western Conference. Nevertheless, they have a slim chance of winning this season’s championship. But seeing a young player like Giddey making great scores and showing off great performances is a bright sign for the NBA. Especially for the Thunder.
