Knicks Fan Stephen a Smith Believes Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving Are Playing on the Wrong Team in New York

The New York Knicks went through a rough season as they couldn’t repeat their playoff berth. Fans were left in torment yet again after the poor season. In addition, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant added salt to the wound after an emphatic comeback win. This left Knicks’ biggest fan Stephen A Smith in agony as he felt the duo should reside in Madison Square Garden.
The 2019 free agency was a wild ride. With duos coming up all around the league, the picture of the NBA slowly evolved into a superteam era. A big surprise came when both Kyrie and KD decided to join forces on the Brooklyn Nets. However, the story could have been much different.

The Nets’ comeback was the first time Kyrie and Durant played together at MSG. They announced themselves in the best way possible and had the Knick fans in shock. But for Smith, he knew his team would blow the lead at halftime. Reacting to the loss, the analyst couldn’t help but talk about Durant and KAI being a Knicks duo.
He said: “Did you know that Wednesday was the first time that KD and Kyrie had played together at Madison Square Garden. That just makes me want to cry that they did it playing for Brooklyn. They should have been playing for the Knicks damn it! My Knicks!”

Kyrie recently opened up and said how the Knicks could have had him and Durant. But they missed their chance. And this came to bite them big time. Kevin Durant keeps torching the Knicks every time they face. With the duo coming together, they rallied a 21 point comeback win, combining for 56 points against their New York rivals.
