Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young may not have a great playoff run this time around, but he seems to be doing well on the personal front. He welcomed his first son along with his fiance, Shelby Miller. And NBA fans were emotional to hear the news.
Young got engaged in December to his long-time girlfriend, Miller and they have welcomed their son, Tydus Reign Young. Trae had a historic year as he led the Hawks to the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference. They beat the Cavs in the play-in tournament, but they met the Miami Heat in the first round. They lost to the Heat in 5 games.

Young had a historic year
After reaching the Conference Finals last year, the Hawks were expected to make a jump to the next level. But they had a lot of injuries and had to lose some players in free agency. They ended up finishing in the ninth spot and were bounced out in the first round of the playoffs.

But Young had a heck of a season. He averaged 28.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 9.7 assists while shooting 46% from the field and 38% from the three-point range. This impressive season earned Young his first all NBA selection as he was named to the third team. And this will increase his salary as well.

But Young needs to take his game to the next level now. He is a superstar in this league and he has been a beast in the playoffs. But this year, he was a shell of himself as the Heat just shut him down completely. The Hawks will also need to find him a second star who he can rely on.
Having just one superstar on your team makes it very hard to win consistently. Young will also want to prove his haters wrong and with the birth of his child, he will be even more motivated to do so.
