NY City is perhaps far more excited to see the Knicks playing in the postseason than they are about the Nets’ championship chances. And the reason is obvious; the Knicks rule over the Madison Square Garden with two championship rings, and a historic legacy.

The #4 seed Knicks, with a home-court advantage, will face the #5 seed in the Atlanta Hawks in round 1 of the EC. They are back into the postseason conversation after seven years, making it a bigger deal as opposed to Atlanta’s 3-year gap. So what exactly is their playoff schedule?

The prices for the Knicks/Hawks game were shooting through the roofs, at least in NYC. Apart from the meteoric rise of the Knicks, the pandemic has also fueled enormous interest in fans, and the sports facility will like to squeeze some profit out of this excitement. Hence, the cheapest ticket at the iconic Madison Square Garden can burn an almost $1000 hole in the buyer’s wallet.

Also, the one thousand bucks (as listed on SeatGeek) are exclusive of any additional fees that the provider can ask for. One can purchase these tickets for the mentioned secondary-market prices from the teams’ official websites as well. Even though the tickets in the 100 sections are ranging from anywhere between $1143 to a whopping $8087 (the max being $13200 and maybe allowing a handshaking opportunity with Julius Randle), one can expect a good turnout.

The first round of the postseason will begin on Saturday, May 22. As of now, the exact timings for round 1 are not out and one can expect that update only as the play-in tournament concludes. Notably, in the running season, the Knicks were 3-0 against the Hawks, and hence all the prediction and betting odds are supporting a 4-2 series win for the favorites in the Knicks.
