Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and has been supporting the team for a while now. Despite having to wear a curly wig upon losing a bet on the Cowboys’ game, Shaq Diesel remains a loyal Cowboys fan through and through. Therefore, quite naturally, the Los Angeles Lakers legend was utterly disappointed following Sunday night’s game between the Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers. Given the long-standing rivalry between the two teams, the bitter taste of defeat only intensified Shaq’s disappointment. However, what he probably didn’t expect was a call from a renowned sports commentator and an infamous ‘Cowboys Hater’, which only served the purpose of rubbing salt into Shaq’s wounds.

In the NFL divisional round, the Dallas Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers by 12-19. While both teams had impressive defenses, the 49ers managed to proceed to the playoffs by scoring just enough to pull through. Meanwhile, ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith had something to say to Shaq after the game, which left both NBA and NFL fans in chaos.

Shortly after the game ended, 4x NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal uploaded a rather hilarious video on his Instagram handle. The Big Aristotle was seemingly on a FaceTime call with NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith, who had called Shaq to troll him after the Dallas Cowboys’ defeat. All Shaq could do was smile at Smith with a slightly disappointed expression that was hard to miss.

Smith on the other hand was laughing out loud while staring at Shaq Diesel through the video chat. The sports journalist could barely contain his happiness as he said something incoherent to Shaq before the 15x NBA All-Star ended the call.

Smith hates the Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys failed to make it to the playoffs and there’s probably no one happier than Stephen A. Smith. Smith has been one of the most vocal critics of the Cowboys and his dislike for the team dates back to the 1980s.

One reason Smith despises the Cowboys so much is that his first love, who was a huge fan of the team, had dumped him when Dallas lost to the Los Angeles Rams. Seems like a heartbroken Smith can sure hold a grudge. The veteran analyst has also called the Cowboys fanbase intolerable for their antics multiple times.
