Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James recently made NFL Wild Card round predictions during a brief chat with reporters during a team practice. While his response confirmed the 4x NBA champion’s unwillingness to go against NFL superstar Tom Brady, James’ certain comment also conveyed his apparent resentment towards Jerry Jones.

In December 2022, Dallas Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones managed to draw King James’ attention, and not for good reasons. Evidently, it seems like the Lakers superstar is not yet ready to forgive Jones, and his predictions regarding the NFL playoffs made it abundantly clear.

LeBron James refuses to bet against Tom Brady

Amidst the ongoing NFL Wild Card round, LeBron James was asked to name the NFL teams that he believes would win the upcoming games. Referring to the Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers game, the 18x NBA All-Star replied that while he initially picked the 49ers before the home game, he is now expecting an “even” matchup. James reasoned that due to the current rainy weather in San Francisco, the Seahawks would have an added advantage as they are used to playing in such conditions.

Furthermore, James picked the Jacksonville Jaguars over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Buffalo Bills over the Miami Dolphins, the Minnesota Vikings over the New York Giants, and the Cincinnati Bengals over the Baltimore Ravens.

Interestingly, when it came to predicting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Dallas Cowboys game, the 4x NBA Finals MVP replied, “I mean, I’m not ever going against Tom. And of course I’m not picking Dallas!”

Notably, King James used to be a Cowboys fan. However, back in October 2022, he explained why he no longer supported the Cowboys in an IG live session. Furthermore, just about two months after the revelation, James found yet another reason to root against the team, or more specifically, the team’s owner.

Lakers forward displeased by an old photo of Jerry Jones

In November, the ‘Washington Post’ released a news piece regarding Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. What made the news significant was the fact that in the 1957 picture, Jones was visible standing among the white students who were trying to keep out six black students from entering the school. According to ESPN, LeBron James brought up the photo during a media interview where he expressed his disappointment in the reporters for not asking for his comments on the matter.

Furthermore, he added, “—that Jerry Jones photo is one of those moments that our people, Black people, have been through in America. And I feel like as a Black man, as a Black athlete, as someone with power and a platform, when we do something wrong, or something that people don’t agree with, it’s on every single tabloid, every single news coverage, it’s on the bottom ticker. It’s asked about every single day.”
