.The NFL and football fans were struck with devastating news earlier this week during the game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. Bills safety Damar Hamlin was carried off the ground in an ambulance after he took a hit on the ground. Hamlin went into cardiac arrest and was in critical condition as he was rushed to the hospital. But an honorable gesture by the Buffalo Bills led Boston Celtics legend, Kevin Garnett to break the silence.

Kevin Garnett went onto Twitter to give a shout-out to Damar Hamlin and his family while also praising the Buffalo Bills over their honorable gesture.

The Buffalo Bills went out of their way to make sure that they pay Damar Hamlin in full according to his four-year, $3.64 million contract with the team. According to the contract will the Bills, Hamlin would?ve been paid less if he was on the injured reserve.

However, the Bills sat down and worked out a deal with the NFL and NFLPA to make sure that Damar Hamlin gets paid in full in terms of his contract. This was a beautiful gesture by the Bills for Hamlin and his family.

And even Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett gave his two cents on this. Garnett tweeted, ?This should also start talks of fixing the non guaranteed contract problem in the NFL period! Shout out to Hamlin and his fam for enduring this b/c this is the beginning of something bigger than the game??

Garnett not only addressed Damar Hamlin and his family but also tried to raise the issue of non-guaranteed contracts. Professional sports contracts across all leagues often have certain clauses that players need to fulfill.

This practice takes place in the NBA as well. Players have clauses in their contracts over requirements they need to fulfill in order to be paid in full.?

Since being in the hospital, Hamlin has shown significant signs of improvement. According to reports, Hamlin had his breathing tube removed and was talking. He recently went onto Twitter to give a message to all the fans and players that prayed for him and honored him in his absence.
