After dismantling the Los Angeles Clippers in round 1, the Phoenix Suns are struggling hard to land a win against the Denver Nuggets. The top-seeding Nuggets displayed a dominating performance in the first two games by restricting the Suns by huge margins on both occasions. While the experts considered the Suns to be the favorites of this season, the team is visibly having a tough time despite having superstars like Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Nevertheless, hundreds of spectators turned up for Game 3 at the Valley, including Damian Lillard and an NFL superstar.

While fans expected Suns star forward Durant to press the gas in the postseason, he managed to only drop 29 and 24 points in the two games. Following the games, even the NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal criticized KD for his underwhelming performance. However, KD and Co. put up a tough fight in Game 3 by leading the Nuggets with a steady 10 points after the first half and registered their first win of the series.

Stars join in for Kevin Durant and Co’s must win

Amid the fighting effort from the Suns in Game 3, the Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard and NFL superstar Odell Beckham Jr. were spotted enjoying the game. Beckham Jr. joined the game amid the overpaid criticism circulating in the NFL world.

Kevin Durant proved his critics wrong with an emphatic 39 points in the game. During his podcast show, Shaquille O’Neal said, “If he [Durant] wants to win, he got to play like the superstar he is.”

The Suns go one up in the series

After getting blown out in the first two games, the Suns truly asserted dominance in Game 3. Devin Booker and KD pitched in 47 and 39 points each to seal a fighting 121-114 victory over the Nuggets. Notably, the Phoenix side produced the rare victory in the series without their star player, Chris Paul. The team will look to carry the momentum forward in the next home game to level the series and keep the series wide open.
