While the analysts, fans, and legends gave their reviews on the draft picks, Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell spotted a heartwarming moment amid the busy event. The Cavs star shared the heartening father-son moment on his social media. 

The US sporting world is arguably in its busiest month of the year, with NBA and NHL playoffs running in full throttle. Amid the exciting contest, the 2023 NFL draft further lifted the ante. The drafting event occurred at the defending champions, Kansas City Chiefs’ home.

Donovan Mitchell shares a touching video clip

The Cavs star took to his Instagram story and shared a video clip of the Dallas Cowboys’ scout Chris Vaughn, calling his own son, Deuce Vaughn, to inform about his selection. Vaughn Sr. seemed to be holding up his tears as he said, “Look here man, you want to come to work with me next week?” The entire room full of Cowboys officials burst into laughter when his son replied, “I wouldn’t mind that at all.”
