Buffalo Bills‘ safety Damar Hamlin took a heavy blow to his chest, resulting in a critical injury. The incident occurred during his game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday. Considering Hamlin’s condition, the NFL suspended the game. However, an insensitive tweet from Skip Bayless, a popular TV personality, infuriated several NBA stars.

According to The Washington Post report, Damar Hamlin suffered a heart attack after the collision and he is in critical condition in a Cincinnati hospital. Specifically, Hamlin’s heartbeat was restored on the field itself before taking him to the hospital.

NBA world retaliates to Bayless’s tweet

Following the on-field collision, NFL officially suspended the remainder of the game as an immediate response to the incident. Following the announcement, Skip Bayless posted an inconsiderate tweet. He considered the NFL’s decision to suspend the game as irrelevant. He said, “a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”
