Eagles fans baffle NBA stars

The Super Bowl took a controversial turn when the refs made a questionable call on Philadelphia Eagles cornerback James Bradberry. With less than two minutes remaining in the game, both teams were tied at 35 when the officials called a holding foul on Bradberry. This gave the Chiefs the much-needed first down to take the lead in the game. Fans were not too happy about the call and this led to thousands of Philly citizens marching down the street beating drums and chanting in protest.

Coincidentally, the Houston Rockets are in town for their upcoming game against James Harden and Joel Embiid’s Philadelphia 76ers. Several stars from the $3.2 billion-dollar team took to their social media handles to give fans a peek into the situation in the Eagles’ home city. Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr., TyTy Washington, and Josh Christopher posted videos of the protest from their hotel rooms. The protests on the streets prompted Christopher to term it ‘Gotham City’. Whereas, Washington was heard saying, “D*mn man. I’m in Philly right now too. Dang man. They sad…are you sad?”

Additionally, Smith said in his story, “Hey man, can y’all just go to sleep man? Y’all folks lost. Y’all out beating drums, keeping me up man. I’m tryin’ to sleep. Man I got Embiid tomorrow and y’all out beating drums. Please just go to sleep man. I know y’all mad, I know, I know, I know…you win some, you lose some.”

LeBron James’ reaction to the big call

Among the people who spoke against the officials’ controversial call was NBA superstar LeBron James. After the game ended, the NBA’s newly crowned all-time leading scorer took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the call. James tweeted, ?Sorry but I don?t like that call! Not for the Super Bowl man!?
