Shaquille O’Neal has never shied away from speaking his mind. In the episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, the Diesel got into a minor argument with his co-hosts Nischelle Turner and NFL veteran Anthony ‘Spice’ Adams. Shaq said that the reason Brady is lacking on the field is because of the family troubles he is facing. It was recently reported that Brady and his former wife Gisele Bundchen’s divorce was finalized on October 28, after 13 years of marriage.

Shaq said that he understood what Brady was going through as he recalled his own divorce. Furthermore, he stated that despite his poor performance in the recent games, Brady still remains the ‘greatest quarterback of all time.’ However, both Adams and Turner could not entirely agree with Shaq.

Shaquille O’Neal defends Tom Brady

Shaquille O’Neal recently explained to his podcast co-hosts why Tom Brady’s performance in the games were not as expected. While Nischelle Turner could see Shaq’s point, Anthony Adams didn’t think the same. Adams felt that while every other player was getting judged for their performance, it would be unfair to treat Brady as an exception. Turner too agreed that Brady has been playing badly but Shaq stated that the NFL superstar is still the greatest ever. Furthermore, both Turner and Adams agreed that Brady was messing up his legacy due to the bad performances. However, Shaq was adamant on his stance and said that Brady’s legacy couldn’t be messed up unless he did something really crazy.

Adams then asked Shaq if he thought Brady was still in the season. In response, O’Neal said that he was not but that did not change how great he is as a player. Subsequently, Turner said that amidst of all these troubles, Brady is ultimately opening himself up to criticisms which would hurt as it did Shaq.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend countered by saying, “Yeah it hurts but I suck it up and move on. But again the title still stands, ‘Baddest Bigman Ever’. So stay off Tom! Moral of the story, ‘Stay off Tom!'”
