Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is currently taking time off the court. The ‘Baby Faced Assassin’ sustained a leg injury on February 4 and was sidelined for a number of weeks. After being ruled out of the All-Star game, he chose to attend an NCAA tournament that took place a day after the All-Star Weekend showdown. The 4x NBA champion attended the Stanford Cardinals vs UCLA Bruins women’s basketball game held on February 20 to support a family friend.

Curry appeared in his first-ever All-Star game in 2014, alongside basketball superstars Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant. He would have taken part in his ninth game if it hadn’t been for the unfortunate injury. Curry was ultimately replaced by Ja Morant, who was selected by Team Giannis during the All-Star Draft.

Stephen Curry attends his godsister’s game

The Stanford Maples Pavilion erupted in cheers when the Cardinals defeated the Bruins by 71-66. While everyone cheered for the women’s basketball team, NBA superstar Stephen Curry attended the game to extend his support to one particular 21-year-old Cardinals star. The Warriors’ superstar guard showed up at the game to cheer for his 6’4″ godsister Cameron Brink.

However, Curry was not the only star athlete who attended the inter-college tournament. Observing the entire game from their courtside seats were San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Trey Lance and his teammate Javon Kinlaw.

Brink led her team to victory by scoring a game-high 25 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Stanford Guard Haley Jones added 18 points, six rebounds, and two assists.

Cameron Brink’s motivating words to Curry
