Shaquille O’Neal Throws Odell Beckham Jr., Joe Burrow, Sha’Carri Richardson, and More Under the Bus With Outrageous Angel Reese Claim

When LSU Tigers star Angel Reese found herself under scrutiny, NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal was among the ones who had publicly defended her against the critics. Following Reese’s ‘You can’t see me’ celebration, the Los Angeles Lakers legend had diligently spoken up in the young NCAA champion’s favor and continues to do so. However, Shaq’s latest statement regarding the LSU forward might not sit well with Joe Burrow, Odell Beckham Jr., and several other star athletes.

Several days ago, Reese was subjected to harsh criticism when she taunted Caitlin Clark during the NCAA Final. The 20-year-old forward landed herself in controversy after she did the John Cena celebration in the last quarter of the game. It has been several days since the incident stirred a huge debate among fans and it seems like Shaq has just caused another one.

Shaquille O’Neal drops a major Angel Reese statement

The LSU Tigers Women’s team won their first-ever NCAA championship title this year and fans couldn’t be happier. As for Reese, she found her biggest supporter in the form of ‘Uncle’ Shaq when half of the basketball fans called her out for being ‘classless’. In a recent episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, the four-time NBA champion stated that Reese is “probably the greatest athlete ever to come out of LSU sports. Man and female.”

The Big Aristotle believed that Reese was a better athlete than him and several other LSU alumna. He said, “Because guess what? She delivered. She delivered that package. See a lot of us got the package and we still got the package in our truck.” He continued, “She delivered that package. So, you know its a lot of names you can throw around, men and women but she’s probably the greatest athlete.”

The 15x All-Star also stated that while Joe Burrow “got it done a couple of years ago but she’s way more athletic”. While Reese is undoubtedly an excellent player, considering her to be the greatest LSU athlete might just trigger a lot of people given that the university has several notable alumnae including Burrow, Odell Beckham Jr., Sha’Carri Richardson, Patrick Peterson, and more.

‘Uncle’ Shaq shuts a critic

Shortly after Reese made the controversial gesture toward Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, a significant number of people brutally slammed her. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy was among the ones who publicly criticized the young basketball star and called her a “classless piece of sh*t”. This did not sit well with Shaq, who fired back at Portnoy with a brutal remark. The three-time Finals MVP was quick to respond to Portnoy’s tweet where he wrote, “and so is your mother.”
